RestSpan is built for flight crew to plan in-flight rest periods and set local reminders. We designed the app to keep your information on your device. This policy explains what RestSpan does and does not collect.
Summary: RestSpan does not require an account, does not sell your data, and does not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
Information We Collect
Data Stored On Your Device
RestSpan saves the following information locally on your phone or tablet so the app can remember your preferences and schedules:
- Flight times and rest window inputs you enter
- Crew type and rest configuration selections
- Calculated rest schedules and adjustments
- Alarm sound preference
- Scheduled rest alarm times you set
This data is stored using your device’s local storage and is not transmitted to our servers by the app.
Permissions
Notifications
RestSpan may ask for permission to send notifications so it can remind you before a rest period ends. Notifications are scheduled locally on your device. If you deny notification permission, you can still use the app to calculate rest schedules, but alarms will not fire.
What We Do Not Collect
No Tracking Or Accounts
- We do not create user accounts
- We do not collect your name, email, or contact details through the app
- We do not use analytics, advertising, or behavioral tracking SDKs
- We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties
Your Choices
Control Your Data
- Use the in-app Reset button to clear saved schedules and alarms
- Change or revoke notification permissions in your device settings at any time
- Uninstalling RestSpan removes locally stored app data from your device
Children
Not Directed At Children
RestSpan is intended for professional flight crew use and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
Updates To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of RestSpan after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
